Who We Help

FOODLINK FOOD BANK
FoodLink for Tulare County, a nonprofit organization, has been working to end hunger in Tulare County since 1978. FoodLink warehouses and distributes millions of pounds of food annually to a network of more than 80 local nonprofit agencies, which directly feed needy families. In 2010, food distributed through FoodLink’s efficient network of food collection, preservation, and distribution reached more than 120,000 people, with more than two thirds of those served being children.

HAPPY TRAILS RIDING ACADEMY
Happy Trails Riding Academy is a PATH International premier accredited center which enriches the lives of children and adults with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities through equine facilitated therapy. Happy Trails Riding Academy assists riders with Cerebral Palsy, ADD, ADHD, head trauma, brain injury, sight and hearing impairments, developmental disablities, Autism, Down Syndrome, and more.

READ FOR LIFE
Read for Life is a family-based literacy program that encourages parents to provide the foundation for reading beginning at birth. Read for Life knows that children from families who read together have a greater potential for success in school. Read for Life is committed to breaking the cycle of illiteracy through early intervention, direct service projects, and community awareness.

SALT + LIGHT
Salt + Light transforms the lives of our Central California neighbors at risk of or experiencing homelessness by fostering community and belonging. We offer dignified housing, essential case management services, purposeful work opportunities, and outreach programs rooted in dignity and radical hospitality.
